QPI-Mobile FX Installation Guide for Sony Ericsson P800:

information from QPI-Mobile FX service,
please follow the user manual below:

Shortcut Key Description
 

User login

Please select the QPI-Mobile FX service from the "Applications Menu". A login page will appear. Enter your "Username" and "Password" and then press "OK" to proceed. You may save your password by selecting 'Save Password" in the QPI-Mobile FX menu. The "Reset" button in this login page allows you to delete the "Save Password" function.

 

Main Menu

Once you are logged on to the QPI-Mobile FX service, the main menu screen will pop up.
You can select the desired page from here.

World Major currencies

This page will show the bid/ask quotes of world major currencies.
To see the high/low quotes, simply press the right arrow key on the arrow pad. The page will shift to display the "High" and "Low" quotes.

You can also see the last update time by pressing the right arrow key on the arrow pad in the High/Low page.
To shift back to the bid/ask page, simply use the left arrow key on the arrow pad.

Antenna - If the "Streaming" mode is turned on, a green antenna icon will be displayed on the top right-hand corner of this page. A red antenna icon will be displayed when the data of this page is being updated.

Asia Spots

This page shows all the bid/ask quotes of major Asia currencies.
High, low and last update time can be accessed like World Spots.

World Crosses, HKD Crosses and SGD Crosses

These three pages show the cross rates of major currencies; and major currencies against the Hong Kong and Singapore dollars.
High, low and last update time can be accessed like World Spots.

Bullion

This page shows bullion prices including gold, silver and platinum.
High, low and last update time can be accessed like World Spots.

Deposit Rates

This page shows the deposit rates of the major currencies in weeks and months.
Please use the arrow to shift to the desired column.

Intraday Chart

This page shows the intraday chart of different currencies. You can key in the currency numeric code to view currency intraday chart. Numeric codes assigned to the different currencies can be found under "Help / Keys" in the menu.

Daily HLC Chart

This page shows the daily high, low and close chart of each major currency. You can key in the currency numeric code to view the HLC chart. The relevant numeric codes can be found under "Help / Keys" in the menu.

Real-time News

For the Professional Edition, this will show forex and bullion news by categories. Under the column 'Unread', you will see the total number of news articles in the preceding 24-hour period and the number still unread.

Use the up/down arrow key to select the desired category. Press the centre dot of the arrow pad to see the headlines. Once you have selected the desired headlines, simply press the centre dot of the arrow pad to see the details or the "Dial" button depends on the models. All unread news items are shown in BOLD letters.

* For the Basic Edition, Market Commentary will be shown instead of Dow Jones News but the access mode is the same.

Price Alert (Optional)

This optional service will alert you via SMS once your target price is broken.
To set up the price alert, simply select the instrument listed in "World Spots", "Asia Spots", "World Crosses", "HKD Crosses", "SGD Crosses" or "Bullion" and press the centre dot of the arrow pad or the "Dial" button depends on the models.
A sub-menu will pop up. Select "Set Alert" and the price alert menu will come up.

BID/ASK row - The default setting of this row is "BID". If you wish to set the "ASK" price instead, just press the centre dot of the arrow pad or the "Dial" button on "BID" and the setting will change to "ASK".

>/< row - You need to indicated whether the alert is for a higher or lower value than the price set. Again, you may press the centre dot of the arrow pad or the "Dial" button to change the default setting.

Limit - This is where you set your target price. To enter the decimal, click "*".

Click "OK" to confirm or "Cancel" to cancel the setup.

Please note that the SMS alert will only alert you once upon the target price being hit. Your price alert setup will be deleted once the alert is fired. You must set up another alert again if you wish to be alerted again.

Streaming On/Off

This is where you set the "Streaming" mode on or off.
When the "Streaming" mode is on, the data will be automatically updated.
When the "Streaming" mode is off, you need to click "Refresh" in the sub-menu to retrieve the latest update or change the page to update the data.

You can access the sub-menu by selecting any row on the page and press the centre dot of the arrow pad or the "Dial" button.
*Please note the sub-menu cannot be accessed in the following pages: "Intraday Chart", "Daily HLC Chart" and "Real-time News"

Help / Keys

This page will show the numeric codes of different currencies for the user to input in the chart page. For example, "101" will show the chart of Euro/US.

Save and Exit

This will save the last page that you are watching before quitting QPI-Mobile FX.
When you next log on to QPI-Mobile FX, this page will be displayed.

Numeric Keyboard

You can enter different currency numeric codes or the menu shortcut keys using the number pad.

Once you have entered the chart page, click the currency numeric code you want and then "#" to select the desired currency.

To enter other pages in the main menu, you may use shortcut keys by clicking "*", followed by the shortcut key number, for example, "*5" will take you to "Bullion" page. The shortcut keys directory is found under "Help / Keys".

Arrow Pad

You may use the left arrow key to delete the forex symbol or numeric code you have entered.

After you have typed in the forex symbol or the currency code you desire, press the red dot key in the centre to retrieve the information.

* QPI-Mobile FX Pro(EN) will be shown for QPI-Mobile FX "Pro" edition or QPI-Mobile FX (EN) will be shown for QPI-Mobile FX "Basic" edition.
